How Did We Get Here Minecraft Advancement Guide

“How Did We Get Here?” Minecraft Advancement Guide

Advancements are a trophy system in Minecraft: Java Edition. They were designed to gradually guide new players into the game and give them progressively more difficult challenges to complete.

As of version 1.18, Minecraft: Java Edition has 95 advancements for you to unlock. 91 of these are regular advancements, and you can track your progress towards unlocking them from the Advancement screen (use the L key to bring it up). There are also 4 hidden advancements, which only become visible once you unlock them. The toughest one to unlock is the “How Did We Get Here” advancement.

In this guide, we will teach you how to unlock this rare advancement.

Note: Minecraft: Bedrock Edition uses the term “achievements” instead of “advancements” for its trophy system. They function almost identically to advancements, but their names and conditions are different. The “How Did We Get Here” advancement is exclusive to Minecraft: Java Edition.
