Can You Craft Mechanical Parts in 7 Days to Die?

When they were introduced in version Alpha 15, Mechanical Parts could be looted from containers.

Version Alpha 17 added the option to craft Mechanical Parts at the workbench using Forged Iron and Duct Tape.

However, as of version Alpha 18.1, players can no longer craft Mechanical Parts.

How to Get Mechanical Parts in 7 Days to Die?
